Asmaa James (98.1)

She is a very principled person, hardworking and committed to whatever she put her mind to. Asma is passionate about women and girls issues and therefore she is the founder of Asma James Foundation(AJF), which promotes teenage sexual reproductive health and rights in Sierra
Leone. Mrs James was born on the 8th of November. The award winning journalist is the Station Manager for Radio Democracy, 98.1 FM. Her show Good morning Sierra Leone is the most popular show on radio. She is happily married with two kids.

Lucyann Ganda (SLBC)

She attended the Annie Walsh memorial school and later furthered her education at the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (MMCET) and Njala University, where she got a Master’s Degree. Ganda worked as head teacher at Alleluia International School. She is currently the head of television at the Sierra Leone broadcasting Corporation. Lucyann is a single mother and a dedicated Christian. Late last year she was given the title of Reverend Lucyann Ganda. She is the co-presenter of the famous television program called we yus.

Stella Bangura (Ayv TV)

Stella is an accomplished ex-beauty queen turned media personality and entrepreneur. With many years of experience as a radio presenter, she has successfully transitioned fully into TV as the digital and branding manager of the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire. Bangura is a seasoned TV host, news anchor and producer at AYV. She is a bundle of talent, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Institute of Public Administration and Management, University of Sierra Leone, alongside with a certificate in digital media, ISO certificate in progress mapping, internal
auditing and essentials. She is the co-presenter of Sierra Leone’s leading breakfast show, Wake Up SIERRA LEONE, News anchor of the Prime Time news and On the Spot.

Phebian Swill (Ayv Tv)

A TV presenter known beyond the borders of Sierra Leone and winner of multiple prestigious local and international awards, Phebe Swill, as she is also known, is today the indisputable Queen of the mic and
camera. She is also a young talented and sensational actress, MC and presently working at the African Young Voices television. Her show is called The Phebe Swill Platform. She is hardworking, dedicated and a role model to many young girls.

Adama Sillah (Star TV)

Miss Sillah is a senior female presenter, producer and reporter at star television. A graduate from the Mass Communication Department of Fourah Bay College and currently pursuing her Master’s Degree, the young and beautiful Sillah is also the founder and coordinator of the Media Initiatives for Women and Girls Empowerment (MIWGEM), an organization that inspires, promote and provide capacity building for women and girls with interest in media literacy and self-development.
