The ‘Pana’ star arrived in Freetown on Thursday and was scheduled to perform the same day at a Fashion show, at the Bitumani Hotel.

The artist went to the event at Bintumani but failed to perform. A very reliable source told Salonejamboree that the artist failed to perform because that event was not part of his contract agreement.

“I am made to understand that the fashion show was not part of the contract agreement with Tekno’s management. The event organizers wanted to convince Tekno to perform that night but he refused,” ourmsource who pleaded to remain anonymous said.

Many people who went to Bintumani with the hope of seeing the artist perform for the first time left disappointed. We also understand that that event was organized by Dahlia, a social club at the Fourah Bay College.

Tekno was brought to Freetown under the Boxx Production promotion company. Efforts to gets Abubakarr Bxx Conteh, aka DJ Bxx, proved futile.

The artist is expected to perform on Friday evening at the National stadium. Tekno, 23 is a native of Bauchi, Northern Nigeria. He released his first single ‘Holiday’ under the Imprint record label. His hit song ‘Pana’ is very popular in Sierra Leone.
