Popular Ghanaian and Nollywood actor, Majid Michel, will land in Sierra Leone on Sunday 9 April.
Majid is playing a major role in a movie to be shot in Freetown by Prime International Productions and Real Time Management Productions. These Sierra Leonean production companies are the producers of ‘HIGH FASHION’ and the soon to be premiered series titled: ‘THE COMPANY’, starring Princess Jnap Sesay, Winstina Taylor, LAJ, Shadow Boxer, Jimmy B, David Vandy and others. THE COMPANY is set for premier at the Family Kingdom on 6 May.
While he is in town primarily for the new movie in making, Majid is expected to grace May 6 event.
Majid has featured in over 50 movies, including ‘Somewhere in Africa’, ‘The Game’, ‘Passion of the Soul’, ‘Chelsea’, ‘Royal Battle’.
The Ghanaian star actor has been nominated for several awards, notably winning the Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2012. He is well known for his action and romantic roles in his movies.
Speaking to SaloneJamboree, Wistina Taylor and Princess Jnap Sesay, CEOs of Prime International Productions and Real Time Management Productions, respectively, expressed excitement for being able to fly in the movie maestro to be featured in a Sierra Leonean film for the first time. The ladies hope this would be a major boost for the Sierra Leone movie industry.
They stressed that it would help sell the good image of the country in fulfilment of their intentions to portray the culture and beauty of Sierra Leone.
