Dstv subscribers can now watch the Marvel’s studio Box office movie, ‘Black Panther’. The film was released in cinemas around the world in February 2018 and passed the $1 billion mark at the global box office in just 26 days. It made $12.9 million at the international box office in just one weekend, bringing its total worldwide gross to $1.23 billion.
Starring Chadwick Boseman, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, Danai Gurira, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Lupita Nyongo, Andy Serkis, Forest Whitaker and Letitia Wright, the film Set in the fictional African country of Wakanda, focuses on black protagonists. Its stories and culture set it clearly apart from other superhero movies. Hero TChalla, the king of Wakanda, is played by Chadwick Boseman.
Many movie fans in Sierra Leone were unable to watch the movie because of the lack of cinemas across the country which has only one remaining cinema.
Ibrahim Sesay, an ardent movie fan, said he has refused to purchase the pirated copy of ‘Black Panther’. “I decided to wait until it comes on screen so that I will watch the original film and enjoy it with my family,” he told Salonejamboree.
